Humanosphere Science School 2010
“In Search for Sustainable Humanosphere in Asia and Africa,
and JSPS Asia-Africa Science
Platform Program-
Elucidation of Ground-Based
Atmosphere Observation Network
in Equatorial Asia”
The exploitation
of natural resources has affected the ecosystem. The occured flood around the
forest land conservation can be concluded as an effect of the forest exploitation.
The exploitations increase as the forest management does not take the
preservation area into account. One of the current critical issues is global
warming which also caused by the rising amount of CO2 in the air; on the
other hand, the absorbed CO2 by the forest is decreasing. According
to the issue, the Humanosphere (the environment around the human-being
domicile) management is becoming crucial. To respond the issue, Research
Institute for Sustainable Humanosphere (RISH) in collaboration with Research
& Development Unit for Biomaterials LIPI, Universitas Gadjah Mada, Center
for South East Asian Studies (CSEAS) and supported by Global Center of
Excellence (G-COE) Program, JSPS
Asia-Africa Science Platform Program, and Kyoto
University, are inviting all researchers, lecturers, practician and student
to attend the Humanosphere Science School 2010 (HSS 2010). This
intellectual event is an innovative endeavor where presenters and
participants can share their knowledge about latest issues closely related to
the new paradigm. Humanosphere Science School 2010
will explore more about the four vertical regions of humanosphere,
which are the ground human habitat (earth environment); the forest-sphere (arborsphere); the atmosphere; and space environment which
are vital to human existence. |
